With
its location so close to Oxford and the facilities within the university,
there is not a sport or activity, social or cultural, that cannot
be organised.
Every week a number of concerts are held in Oxford which also has
two theatres and a number of cinemas. With its cosmopolitan background,
it has a huge number of restaurants, cafes and bars some of international
repute.
The River Thames provides its own pastimes and superb walking.
Further afield the beautiful Cotswolds are no more than 30 minutes
drive. This is an area of outstanding natural beauty with its rolling
countryside and delightful warm stone villages and pubs. Country houses
such as Blenheim Palace, together with many National Trust properties
are within easy reach.
Warwick
Castle is only 40 minutes drive north and Windsor Castle is a similar
distance away. There is a direct bus into London every 10 minutes
from Oxford Centre - thus enabling you to incorporate a days sight-seeing
in London.
There are a number of superb golf clubs in the
area, and tennis can be arranged.
Finally, Oxford is well situated for
your return trip home via Heathrow which is only 45 minutes drive.
Also South Coast ferries only 1.5 hours away. To the North, Birmingham
Airport is 50 minutes away and the M40 is only 10 Minutes away.
